I decide that I am going to make a stencil that is about five feet long! I've done it before, only that one was about 6 feet in length. I've been reading this blog lately that is all about stuff for your home. For the longest time now I have wanted a headboard of some sort for my bed. I considered making one using a sheet of plywood, some stuffing, fabric and buttons. But those are things I do not have lying around the house, and don't currently have the money to spend getting. However, I do have a roll of mylar, sharpies, a burning tool to cut things out, blue tape and numerous cans of paint. So why not paint a headboard?
Excuse the mess of the bed, the sheets are in the wash. Here the stencil is only half complete, I will be finishing it up later today. I am also going to paint a dark grey boarder around the shapes, just to give it that extra oomph! All of my bedding are browns, greys, turquoises, and blues, so I think this will fit in great. Especially when the sheets are on the bed, and everything is made. The color for this is called Grand Rapids, and it is on the wall opposite of this one, being that three of my walls are Creek Bend (grey) and one is this Grand Rapids color (Dark Turquoise).

I'm starting up some new ideas. First of which are bags that I am making. I am starting a line of purses, messenger bags, and re-usable grocery bags. So far I've gotten a few of the purses made.
They are made from fused plastic bags, then I do hand stitching for the detail, and big buttons. They also have pockets inside to keep your small things. They hold up really well, and since these plastic bags are getting put to a different use besides being thrown away, it's a great way to recycle and be green. So if you have some awesome bags that you want to save up and get a bag made with, DO IT! Just let me know!
Next thing is store is some cute little scarves that look like worms....
The two shown here are with a wool/acrylic blend, but I just went and bought some new colors the other day....
And all of these are light weight yarns, (obviously in bright colors), either made from straight cotton or some kind of synthetic cotton blend. For the spring time I am going to "accessorize" the worms with flowers, and maybe even some mythical creature things, like dragon scales or something fun.
Finally, with the help of my friend Matthew Crawford Trisler I am working on getting a pseudo website up and running until another friend of mine finishes designing my graphics and what not for the real one. Either way it will be boothsartain.com, so keep a look out.

This post is a collection of quotes that I wrote down in all of my Art History classes that I had with Adrian Duran. Some of them might not make any sense without the context of the piece that we were talking about, but they are going in all the same. This is 3 or 4 semesters worth of Art History. Keep in mind almost ALL of this is in response to some kind of painting, sculpture, or other art piece.
"Go to Dresden before you're dead."
Talking about Bacon and Innocent X, "A vomit sort of sense of painting."
"Fascism is a real pain."
"Painting has been subject to a variety of people trying to kill it."

Rembrandts "Self-Portrait at the age of 34" and his skills at painting, "It would be like Hugh Hefner writing a book on how to be a perverted old man." *same painting* "It's like when Jay-z stopped wearing basketballs jerseys and started wearing button up shirts."
